Justa Pleasure

Through 22 years of life Sherman has sired 175 foals with just under 6000 APHA points earned and over $325,000.00 earned in futurities and breeders trust. He has been more to us than "just" a horse. He has been a friend, a teacher, a confidant, and a family member. From the moment we saw him for sale we fell in love! We jumped through many many hoops to make him ours. When he stepped off the trailer the day he arrived he was immediately at home. From that day forward Sherman took us on a journey we did not expect. He brought us from what some would call back yard breeders to full fledged breeders of quality paint horses. With his babies we were suddenly real contenders in the weanling and yearling show ring. His foals did not stop there as many went on to have great riding careers. He has been one of the biggest influences to our family and without him who knows where we would be or what we would be doing. It has been an amazing journey allowing him to own us. But as the old saying goes," all great things must come to an end". Unfortunately yesterday, January 6th, our ride with Sherman came to an end. After fighting through two bouts of colic over the past three years, the third bout is the one that took him from us. He will be missed more than anybody could know. Loosing him has left huge holes in all of our hearts. We know that time heals and that Sherman is now in a great place with many other great horses that have passed before him. We also know that he will be there greeting all that will come after him.

We love you very much Sherman and will again in the future be able to feel your breathe and look into your forgiving eyes.
